The Best Travel Beard Trimmers on the Market Today

aircraft-engine-1426626-mEven when traveling, the modern man wants to look and feel their best by keeping his beard neat and trim. This of course means, bringing along their beard trimmers; however, some trimmers carry a weight to them or even need a cradle charger, which can be hugely inconvenient if trying to travel light and with limited baggage on airlines. Instead of struggling with larger and less convenient beard trimmers, here are some of the best travel trimmers on the market today, designed specifically for the purpose of being suitable whilst on the go.

trym beard trimmerAre you having a hard time maintaining that Ryan-Gosling-stubble look?  Is your beard looking a little wild these days?  Before you go out and buy the most expensive stubble trimmer available, let’s look at five of the best stubble trimmers on the market this year.

Best Models of Stubble Trimmer

The Conair GMT900 iStubble Facial Trimmer has fifteen different length settings and can be used on mustaches, goatees and beards.  The trimmer’s Electronic Motorized Length Control provides a range of 0.4mm to 5mm in length for precision.  It features a floating head that contours to your unique face shape for a perfect shave that won’t irritate your skin.  The trimmer is cordless, has an outstanding battery life, and charges quickly.  Its shape fits well in your hand for maximum control.  It also features an LCD screen that will remind you what setting the trimmer is set to.

The Remington MB-200 Titanium Mustache and Beard Trimmer has titanium-coated blades that prevent pulling and ingrown hairs.  Its “Revolutionary Trimming Technology” guarantees that it will never need to be oiled or sharpened, which will save you time and money in the long run.  A wheel on the handle provides adjustment for nine different lengths.  Ultimately, this is a high-quality and low-cost trimmer that can hold a battery charge for weeks and hardly ever needs maintenance.

The Philips Norelco QT4022 Stubble Trimmer Pro is a convenient trimmer that is 100% fully washable and features carbon blades that will never need to be sharpened.  The length is adjusted in 1 millimeter increments for a precise shave every time.  A flexing guide comb system protects the skin from irritation.  Not only does this trimmer charge quickly, but it is capable of running for up to 60 minutes on a full charge.  Best of all, it comes with a 45-day money back guarantee and a 2-year warranty.

The Philips Norelco QT4021 Stubble Trimmer features hardened Inox Steel blades that have been sharpened in a wavy pattern to channel hair for the closest trim possible.  The steel is much sharper than titanium and even sharpens itself.  The trimmer’s comb design prevents skin irritation.  The trimmer has nine different lengths to provide a stubble trim as close as 1mm.  It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and can be used with or without its cord.

The Philips Norelco QT4070 Vacuum-Enabled Trimmer has a fantastic built-in vacuuming system that will keep the mess off of your face for literally the “cleanest” trim.  A “Turbo Power Boost” button provides a faster trim and simultaneously speeds up the fan for the vacuum.  The trimmer features 18 different lengths, from 1mm to 18mm, for any type of facial or body hair trim.  Additionally, a 0.5mm setting provides the perfect stubble trim with little effort.  The trimmer uses a lithium-ion battery for an exceptional charge and battery life, which are displayed on a small but bright LCD screen.

Shopping for a stubble trimmer doesn’t have to be hard.  These five stubble trimmers are worth your time and money because of their state-of-the-art features and fantastic customer reviews.  Check them out online to save a few bucks or buy them straight from your local department store the next time your woman drags you out shopping.  Either way, enjoy your new stubble look and rest in the fact that you have made a great investment.

How To Oil A Beard Trimmer

oil-1162606-mYou just bought a new beard trimmer and it was working great for a while, but suddenly it started rattling or pulling and you don’t know what’s going on.  Well, it probably just needs a little bit of oil.  So how do you go about oiling your trimmer?  Follow these three easy steps and you’ll be rattle-free:

Step 1 – Purchase a good oil.

If your beard trimmer is a Wahl or an Oster, these leading companies manufacture their own lubricating oils.  However, it’s surprisingly hard to find trimmer oil in stores. The best thing to do is to purchase the oil online through a site like Amazon before you run out of the stuff that came with the trimmer.  If it’s an emergency and you can’t get your hands on trimmer oil fast enough, you can use an alternative, lightweight oil that can withstand high temperatures, such as vegetable oil or olive oil (but not extra virgin).  Light penetrating oils intended for small machinery are similar to hair clipper oil as well.  Do not use motor oil, oils intended for heavy machinery, Vaseline, or door hinge greases, as these products will ruin your beard trimmer.

Step 2 – Make sure the blade is clean.

Nobody appreciates a gummed-up trimmer.  You’ll want to oil the trimmer after each and every cleansing routine for maximum blade performance.

Step 3 – Apply the oil directly onto the blade.

If the blade is off, make sure you slide the oil back and forth to lubricate every part.  You can oil the trimmer while it’s on, but only do so if you can control the amount of oil you’re putting on the blade without cutting yourself.  You should only need a single drop of oil.  If you put too much oil on the blade, the trimmer will rattle like it does when it isn’t oiled enough.

And that’s it.  Pretty simple, right?  Allow me to end on a note of caution: if you do experiment with trimmer oil, beware that you might void the warranty on your trimmer.  It’s best to check the manufacturer’s policies before oiling any kind of trimmer, as some manufacturers require that you use one specific trimming oil on their products.

Philips Norelco G370 Review

Philips offer an exceptional range of beard trimming and male grooming products at brilliant prices, which is why they’re some of the best products on the market, and top selling! I’ve already reviewed other models here on bestbeardtrimmerguide.org, and now I’m going to look at their current best selling all in one model, with a Philips Norelco G370 Review.

The G370 is not strictly just a beard trimmer, and has many facets to its design such as being capable of trimming other areas such as nasal and ear hair, and it even converts into clippers for shaving one’s head, the full list includes a beard/mustache trimmer, nose, ear and eyebrow trimmer, precision and detailing trimmer and a hair clipper comb as well as a mini shaver and normal trimmer of course.

Features of the Norelco G370 include:

  • Revolutionary wave shaped blades which self sharpen and make for a clean and even trim.
  • Skin friendly rounded guard.
  • Washable attachments which are really easy to keep clean.
  • Philips “AccuControl” system which is designed to stick to the contour of your face and keep your trim as even as possible.
  • Maintenance free blades which do not require oil.
  • Six different attachments for different purposes.
  • Rechargable cordless operation.
  • 35 Minutes of cordless battery operation after just 10 hour charge.

With Philips owning over 60,000 (yes you read that right) patents filed worldwide, they are very keen to turn themselves into a market leader, in fact they already are and sell excellently around the world. The Norelco’s features such as the accucontrol and excellent guards are proof of an excellent model.

Price

The pricing point Norelco have chosen for this product is about right, you can definitely get cheaper models but with a load of different features that can ensure detailed and excellent shaving, trimming and general grooming processes, this definitely offers great value for money. If you were to pay more you could get waterproof models, or those with LED indicators, but for those of us who don’t need those features, the G370 is a brilliant option.

Conclusion

If you are purely looking for a beard trimmer, while this is a good option, there are other options that may serve you better. However, don’t be fooled, if you have other areas of hair you’d like to groom and look for other abilities from your trimmer then this is an excellent choice offering unrivaled versatility. If you’re a man who needs nasal shaving as well as head shaving and beard trimming this is the one trimmer you need to matter how complex your facial hair.
